Old but Classic
Raindrops crash against my windshield
Doing this was never part of the deal
And now im driving to let my heart heal
You left me so suddenly
You didnt even take time to explain
Telling me not to wait by the bedside,
because you were never coming back
The smell of your perfume still lingers in my car
And I know forever my heart will bare this scar
I would wear any disguise
just to see your hazel eyes, they always cut me down to size
We had no lies, not a lack of tries, yet water found its way
into these open eyes
The rain turns to hail
call after call I get nothing but voicemail
It seems I will never again enjoy the movement your lips
make as they say I love you
but know that if you ever come back to me,
my heart will always open for your key.
